Safety Notes

For your safety, please read the following notes carefully before entering depot premises, which contain many hazards.

Remember - you enter depot premises AT YOUR OWN RISK.

1.When on depot premises you must wear a high-visibility coat or vest and sensible shoes or boots.

2.Where available you are advised to follow the marked walkways.

3.Keep your eyes and ears open for moving buses, fork lift trucks and other vehicles.

4.Floor surfaces may be slippery with oil or grease – tread carefully and DO NOT RUN!

5.Beware of uneven gradients, steps, open pits and equipment that may be present.

6.Do not enter buses that are parked in the workshops or over pits.

7. Do not touch any tools or other equipment that you may find.

8.Do not enter any workshops, offices or stockrooms, or go underneath buses on ramps or pits.

9.Do not remove any item, even if it appears to have been discarded.

10.Please obey any instructions issued by Arriva staff.

11.Remember that you will be under CCTV surveillance on depot premises and in most of the buses.

12.When posing for photographs etc, do not sit in the driving seat of any bus unless you are supervised by an

  Arriva employee.

13.Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

14. If you have children with you, please remember that you are responsible for their conduct and safety. You

  must supervise them closely at all times.

15.Please be considerate when taking photographs – members of the public and Arriva staff may not want their

  pictures taken.

16. Do not consume alcoholic beverages during the tour.

17. Smoking is strictly prohibited in buses and anywhere on depot premises, including outdoor areas.

Any person wilfully disregarding the above will be asked to leave the tour and find their own way home.

These guidelines have been issued for your safety. It is extremely considerate of Arriva to allow this tour to take place, and for providing the bus to take us around. Please bear this in mind, and do your best to enjoy the day.
